Well... NOW I understand why the leftists were so outraged

Last week, I had a woman from a leftist organization on my show telling me why CBS should not allow the airing of the Super Bowl ad featuring Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow and his mom.

She represented one of more than 30 "women's groups" (actually they're all pro-abortion groups) that officially protested the commercial before it aired.

“An ad that uses sports to divide rather than to unite has no place in the biggest national sports event of the year - an event designed to bring Americans together,” said Jehmu Greene, president of the New York-based Women’s Media Center.

The National Organization of Women was also one of the main backers of the protest.

Now that the ad has aired, I can certainly understand why those women's groups were so upset.

What a horrible, awful message! Those Tebows must be despicable people!! No wonder the leftist feminists didn't want that ad to air!!! How dare they divide America with that commercial!!!! My Super Bowl party was ruined when that ad ran!!!!!! America may have been ruined by that commercial!!!!!!!

Thank goodness we have progressive liberals in this country fighting to keep us safe from such evil messages.

Dori, your tone discredits your message
Pro-life. You know, that's a good way to be. In favor of life. It is reasonable to assume that one who is pro-life finds value in other people. One who is pro-life would feel that nobody is worthless or disposable, not matter how flawed they might be and no matter how "inconvenient" their arrival or presence.

Obviously, your attitude toward people who don't toe your exact political line is not at all consistent with the heart of somebody who finds merit in the lives of others. Your attitude only finds merit in those who mirror your narrow and extreme political philosophies. You have zero respect for any human beings who aren't just about like you in every way imaginable.

That's not pro-life, that's pro-self. It's a fearful stance adopted by people with very small minds, who cannot or choose not to comprehend that nobody is always right, nobody is always wrong, and that even when people disagree there is often merit in an opposing view.

Consider getting over feeling threatened by people who disagree with you. The world doesn't have to be a small, dark, and unhappy place unless we choose to make it so. I guess that's one "choice" that a lot of people who claim to be "pro-life" are making, isn't it?

Sadly enough, there was a time that you examined things objectively and rationally. You have the brains to discuss an issue without name calling; but apparently you lack the will to do so.

    What blathering nonsense
By the above poster- I'm pro-choice/ abortion and thought it was a fine commercial. I don't get why those on my side get so threatend when somebody else has a different view and promotes a different 'choice'

When are you going to share your Haiti stories with us over here. Thats has got to be more interesting than reading some rant of yours because you disagree with Dori on something personal. Y'know, I just read a post from someone who went over there. He hooked up with a group of Mormons, said it was terrible and he felt so helpless. Roads blocked, food scarce. Does that about describe what you saw over there?

    I'm still stunned.
I can't believe that such an intollerant, hateful, narrow minded commercial was allowed on my television. Some heads should roll. *sarcasm off* Are the left really that pathetic? Are you kidding me? Have a bud lite ya pansies!

    Dori is a Liar
The Women's Media Center which is mentioned as one of the main backers of the protest is not simply a pro choice group whatsoever. I don't have time to check out the others right now, but Dori's claim that "they're all pro-abortion groups" is a big fat lie. I haven't watched much pro football since the Michael Vick debacle -- but I did watch the super bowl this year and I thought it was a great game, and the half time show was the best ever. The Dorrito commercial with the dog and the bark collar was hilarious, as was the "slug bug" commercial.

    A forgettable moment
I saw this commercial early in the game and I wonder what all the hubbub was all about. It was non-controversial and very forgettable. It's the morning after and our society is the same as before. It's interesting and sad that some people's sole purpose is to find melodrama and controversy where it doesn't exist. I thought that part of being an enlightened civilization, as we think we are, is acceptance of diversity of thought. I guess it ain't so.

    Tremendous amount of hypocrisy
Two of the commericials had gay men in them yet you didn't hear from any of the religious groups bashing or expressing their opinins of the commericials, despite the fact that
